Douglas - Edward

Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal Monday, 2 June 1890

This morning about 8 o’clock as Edward Douglas was sitting in Law’s stable on Grant Avenue, he suddenly fell forward on his face. When assistance arrived he was already dead. The deceased was aged 49 years and has long been a resident of this place. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. He has been for some time a subject of heart disease, and his taking off while sudden, was not altogether unexpected. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock from his late residence on South Grant Avenue under auspices of the G. A. R., Mr. Douglas having been a member of McPherson Post.
